Ok, this was the crowning piece of my Bachelors Degree at BYU-I. I have a whole story behind this and others that were a part of my Bachelors project. This one is simple called "The Great Dragon Bastian". Simply put, there are various magical creatures in the past of my world. When the future comes around, the technological aspect of the world takes its cue from the old, and when creatures are made, they resemble the ancient magical ones. These two are main characters. And yes, the idea is for you to wonder why the little man (Jivin) isn't afraid. The dragon is his old friend....really old, they are both really old...and Jivin is going to have to do a lot of convincing!

Thanks Man. I actually did this one in oils. I have the entire process, day by day photographed to. It was the major piece for my BFA project. I should post the Gryphin as well shouldn't I. Well, slowly but surely. I'm still fairly obscure these days...as is evidenced by my paycheck. :)

I remember this one from the show! Super job as always... Wizards of the Coast should commission a few from you to go on Magic cards...

Superb work, great composition. I can't remember, was this one acrylics?
